I scheduled 2 appointments. One for the garbage disposal and one for AC/Heater. The plumber came a day early which was good because I was able to cancel the AC/heater guy. The plumber came and within 5mins informed me that I needed a new disposal. He quoted me $495. Obviously I declined and cancelled the AC repair. I was the first owner of my condo in 2011 and probably used it 3 or 4 times. I barely used it because I was a single traveling nurse and spent most of the last 4 years in California. I called Hemphill and they stated a replacement would be $350 and if I provided my own disposal (which was $90 at Home Depot/ $88 at Lowes) it would be $150-200. My father came off TDY early and drove an hour to my house, got a rod off the back of his truck, stuck it in the disposal, hit it a couple of times with a hammer in each direction, cut the power back on and it worked perfectly and still does. Triple check and make sure you have a man with you!

The best call I've ever made was for them to come service my HVAC unit. The service tech discovered big, rusted holes in my blowing chamber that was flooding my home with carbon monoxide! I decided to get a new unit and they installed it within just a few hours. They even went the extra mile to lay down a new foundation for the unit and hooked up a fancy, new digital thermostat to boot! They cleaned up after themselves completely and were extremely courteous and knowledgeable. I can't recommend them enough.
