Emily P.I used K and S plumbing Through my home warranty company 2-10. They sent a plumber to my home name Chris. He could not have been more professional and was so nice. I have no complaints about the plumber himself. However the women answering the phone at K and S are completely rude. I never write reviews! Good or bad! But my experience was so bad that I felt compelled to share! I have never in my life had customer service representatives be so rude to me on the phone. When the first thing that The plumber tried did not fix my drippy faucet outside, I called K&S plumbing to see if they could just send him back out to fix it again. After all, I had already paid for it! But instead they said I had to make another claim through the home warranty. These people do not stand behind their work. She made it as difficult as she possibly could for me to get this drippy faucet fixed again and forced me to be home when the plumber came back out so I had to take more time off work. (210 said No one had to be at the home since it was an outdoor problem)
When I asked to speak to an owner they would never let me speak to him or a manager. Rude and worst customer service ever! She talked down to me and even hung up the phone on me when I told her this was no way to run a business! How's that for customer service! and just look at all the similar reviews to mine! It's obviously just the way they treat their customers!
Had K&S Plumbing Services (plumber issued by our home warranty co.) come inspect our whirlpool bathtub that wasn't working. We already knew the motor was bad, but had to go through the process to get it fixed. We were told by AHS (our home warranty) that whirlpool bathtubs were covered. We paid our $125 and the plumber (in about 10 minutes) verbally confirmed electrical outlet was good, motor was bad. He left and said we'll see what happens. That was the end of our communication!!! Our status on our home warranty acct. says ""Complete"". Nothing has been done and no one has offered us any actual explanation other than a sweet woman who's answering the calls & saying ""looks like the plumber says it's the electrical switch."" I watched the plumber test the switch w/ my hair dryer & it worked. We have called K&S numerous times since July 27, 2020, to get some sort of explanation as to why the status is complete when nothing was done. We were told the plumber, Jeremy, would absolutely call us and explain the issue. That was last week... still nothing. We have used several repair companies through the years w/ our home warranty & regardless if the issue was covered or not, they ALL gave timely feedback. This is NOT a professional company. I will say when you do get someone on the phone like Ashley, even though you get zero information, she is really nice & polite. The 1 star is for her.
I had the pleasure of dealing with K&S Plumbing through my home warranty company. I will never use or recommend this company to anyone. Although the plumber was friendly and on time the service afterwards was nothing short of horrible. My request was placed by my home warranty company on 18 Dec and it is currently one month later the 27th of January and no completed service. This company is total garbage and you can't reach anyone by phone. As a suggestion to AHS REMOVE THEM FROM YOUR LIST OF SERVICE PROVIDERS!!!!!! and stop causing the customers extra time and money.

Shericia R.Unprofessional services. I had scheduled this company through American Homeshield. Instead of ringing the door bell or calling, the gentleman stood outside for less than 30 seconds and left. I attempted to call him various times and he marked the job as completed. Now, I will have to wait another 5 days after the 3 days I've already waited for this company to come out. This is the most unprofessional company I've worked with in Birmingham thus far. Unfortunately, I will still have to use this unprofessional company because I literally have no choice through American Home Shield. Thanks a lot Seth for not attempting to ring the doorbell or call. Now, I have to wait on your sorry services again
They were sent out by American Home Shield fo a pipe that busted on Saturday so no water until Monday when they came. Came out said they couldn't fix it until Friday & would need to send smaller guys & cost $350 extra & take all day. Fiancé took off all day Friday. Sent the same guys. Took 15 minutes. RIDICULOUS! Con men is what they are!

As with many of the previous review I was referred to K&S through our home warrantee company. The only difference in my experience is that someone actually went to their houses to ""fix"" the issue.
I had a leaky pipe in my garage that was dripping into my air handler. The earliest appointment was 7 days from when I called...I took a half day off work to meet them. About 2 hours into my wait a nice lady called to inform me that my tech had a personal emergency and they had to reschedule. The ""next available"" appointment was 5 days later. Are you kidding me? I get that people have emergencies but the leak is so bad that I now have to turn my water off to the house. They should have rearranged their work force to complete the task they agreed to. She was ""very sorry"" but that was all I got...no manager was ""available"" to speak with me.
I called American Home Shield and they we very good in finding another vendor to assist the next morning...problem finally resolved.
This company deserves the low rating. The technician was unable to clear our drain and stated he needed to get on the roof but needed to reschedule. I rescheduled what day with the technician for two weeks later (my schedule is very tight). On the day he was supposed to return, I called to confirm and the technician ""forgot to mention the reschedule"" to the receptionists and they wanted to schedule for yet another day. If they were professional they would have found a way to send someone out on the day they were supposed to. Stay clear of this company. The fact that they receive their business through home warranty companies should be a warning to all. Check their facebook page.
