The business focuses on clear pricing and practical repairs rather than flashy sales talk.

Owner Craig Sparks started plumbing work in 1983 right after high school. His decades of field work shape how the company trains technicians and handles complex jobs like gas line repair or sewer replacement. Craig and the staff are locally based and familiar with area building types, seasonal weather impacts, and the plumbing issues common to Alabama homes.

We used this company due to our home warranty company Old Republic signing a contract with them. Location Madison Al. Very over priced and not reliable. Showed up late and not within our appointment time and office did not call to reschedule or state they would be late. We had a leak in our water pipe in the front yard. Quoted us $650 to just find the leak or $3500 to replace pipe from meter to house. This is wayyyyy expensive. We called another company. They found the leak for $175 and repairs cost us $400. Beware this company will cost you an arm and a leg.
Excellent service by John S. - he went above and beyond with replacing our hot water heater and PRV. I will definitely use Drainblaster again and will ask for John. He was a complete professional with exceptional manners - he even was thoughtful enough to remove his dirty shoes before entering the house. It's obvious he enjoys his job and it shows in his work.
Rashunda W.I'm here to show appreciation and support to Mr. John Stephens. On July 25, 2020 earlier throughout the day. A young, handsome, self-made man by the name of John Stephens entered the residence of Mr. Tracy Murray. I, Rosario will be speaking on behalf of my step-father Tracy Murray. I admire your spirit and your passion for the service you provide. We were experiencing so many tough issues with the plumbing in the house. Thank you so much John for stepping in and providing us with great service. Thank you for being helpful, understanding, informative, patience and kind-spirited. Overall John, you are a noble person of character. John Stephens always follow your intuition, it will always lead you to the right destination. I wish you all happiness and positivity throughout your life. Good luck on your spiritual journey.
Josh B.I gave this company a second chance to fix their error. The kitchen sink clog actually got worse with each visit. So much so that when it was only a kitchen sink clog they actually just moved the clog to the main drain line.
Two hours late with no call stating they would be late and when they would arrive for the first visit and then late on the 2nd visit with no call after a day. I know it was during the Christmas Holidays but if you tell me you'll be there at night I take you at your word.
Now we have sewage backing up from the toilet into the tub due to the incompetence of your young plumber guys who obviously have little to no experience.
For a plumber service who calls themselves 'drain blasters' the nerve of them to say 'we don't guarantee drain work' is BS. You are a plumber....that is your job description.
Or maybe you could phrase it correctly and let us know all the options available to us. Your guys were young just drilled the drain and called it a day and didn't even look at the main drain line. I was willing to pay to fix the main drain line if that was the main issue but your guy didn't even take a look.
I highly do not recommend these peoples unprofessional and horrible service.
Courtney B.They will not return my husband's calls/emails about an insurance claim. Highly unprofessional. I don't know how companies like this stay in business.
After 3 months and 2 other unnamed local plumbers, Drainblaster finally got it right within a week of first service call.
In August I had a line blockage from the basement bathroom to the sump. Called home warranty company and they sent out a plumber. Plumber ran an auger and got liquid to flow. Within 24 hours line was stopped up again. Requested a recall, plumber came back out pulled up toilet, ran auger again, same result but also added that sump pump would need to be replaced. Line stopped up again, no call back from plumber after 3 weeks, called home warranty and changed plumbers. Explained situation to next plumber... ran auger, said camera would be needed to identify blockage, set up recall, multiple cancellations, no shows, excuses, 7 more weeks, finally return to run a camera they didn't bring, false diagnosis of improper venting... called home warranty company to change plumber again. Within 1 week of Quickdrain being assigned, they came out, assessed, verified, ran camera, and cleared the stoppage. Turns out venting was fine but a bundle of wire was in the main line. Craig and the crew from Quickdrain were timely, courteous and professional during the while process. If our family or any friends in the area ever have plumbing issues, Quickdrain will be our go to plumbers. Thanks guys for the quality unmatched service you guys provided. 3 months of aggravation has come to a close...
Casey W.Steer clear. Terrible. Came to my house a week after I first called them trying to get them to come out, (two missed appointments) cut holes in my ceiling and claimed there was not a leak. Never turned on water. Left.
I was able to replicate the leak again and called to have them come back out. After being promised twice they would call right back to make an appointment they never did, either time. They then told my home warranty company I'd told them not to come out, which was false.
Have now been transferred by my warranty company to a new plumber. I have never had an issue like this with anyone. So now I'm awaiting them to contact me to try to get an issue that's been 3 weeks unresolved.
I woke up the other morning to a fan of water shooting from the side of my house worthy of a theme park display. The connection from the main line into the house has broken in the night, which meant I had shut the water off for the entire house. I contacted my Home Warranty company, HomeServe, and they assigned me a plumber. The plumbing company told me that they could make it out first thing Monday. It was Friday. I had HomeServe contact another plumber - who also couldn't make it out that day.
I contacted HomeServe again, and they went down their list, and got ""meh"" after ""nope"" until they got to Drain Blaster. Even though DB is completely on the other side of Birmingham, and were almost booked up for the day, they said yes when everyone else said know. They weren't able to finish the job before ours until nearly 8 at night, but they didn't try to reschedule. They came out anyway, made the fix, and stuck around until the glue had dried to make sure it was done right. I'd highly recommend these guys to anyone who wants the job done right.
Jon K.Friendly professional and fast service. Had our pipe replaced that morning. Answered phone and returned calls promptly.
I represent a national facilities management company and I can confidently say this is one of the best plumbers we work with across the country(out of over 1,500 plumbers). They are honest, trustworthy, and reliable. Drainblaster is our preferred vendor in this area and currently performs over 100 emergency and regular calls a year for us. They have gone above and beyond on numerous occasions and are highly recommended.
