James E. Sheahan founded Dimech Services in 1980 with a commitment to quality workmanship. The business started in a small office trailer but quickly grew, moving to a permanent location on Angola Road in 1981. By 1983, Dimech was handling larger projects for schools, hospitals, and office buildings.

In 1986, the company moved to its current headquarters at 5505 Enterprise Blvd in Toledo. The 1990s brought expansion with the addition of an HVAC Service Department and fabrication shop. In 2008, Dimech earned the prestigious STAR qualification from the Mechanical Contractors of America, recognizing their elite status in the industry.

After James Sheahan's passing in 2012, his son Ron Sheahan took leadership, continuing the family tradition of excellence.
