DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. THEY CANNOT LOCATE LEAKS.

I had a leak in my garage, and I called a plumbing company. The plumber suspected the leak was in the slab, but he did not want to guess and break the slab at random places. He suggested I hire a company to pin point the location of the leak, so he could be precise when breaking the slab. I hired American Leak Detection. The technician came over and was confident that he had found the leak in less than 30 minutes. He placed an ""X"" where the leak supposedly was. And I was promptly charged $425.
The plumbing company returned and started the awful job of breaking through my slab to fix the leak. Once the plumber broke the slab and searched for the leak, he could not find the leak at all around the area where American Leak Detection marked. After spending a long time searching and not seeing any water, the plumber finally went on the other side of the wall, into the garage, and drilled a small 1-inch deep hole into the slab right where the pipe meets the slab, and the leak was right there. This company marked the leak as being UNDER THE SLAB. All this to say, that this company is incapable of detecting a leak. They were way off the location of the leak. They scammed me out of $425 to guess where the leak was. I could have guessed more accurately than they did, and in fact, the plumber made an educated guess, and was more accurate than this company.

I have called this company numerous times. I have asked for my money to be refunded since they did not provide the service they advertise. They have returned my call once and have promised me a call back ""to see what they can do."" I have been calling for 2 weeks, and now my calls just get ignored.

I am not asking for anything unreasonable. I am asking this company to stand by their product/service. They failed to provide the service they promised, and as a result, I ended up with an unnecessarily large plumbing bill in addition to a repair bill for the floor. I paid this company to detect the location of the leak, and they did not. I am very disappointed in the service that was promised but not provided. Save yourself the headache and look for a company that will stand by their service.

I had a water leak in the slab foundation and American Leak Detection was recommended. They quickly found the leak location, which was different from where we thought the leak was, and they marked it for the plumber to repair. Their location mark was within a couple of inches of the actual leak. They are not cheap and have a two-hour minimum, but they performed a necessary task.

They say you get what you pay for and this company is no exception. I thought it was very expensive until I saw firsthand the quality and thoroughness of what they do.

I have a fairly complicated shotcrete swimming pool with in floor cleaning and a vanishing edge. It's had leaks shortly after it was built and the builder went BK but that's another story.

All plumbing was tested and cracks were inspected and tested. A complicated process with compressed air, plugs, drysuit plugs and a tremendously talented and smart young lady doing the work.

I am so impressed with this company and would recommend them to family and friends - I hope I never need them again though....
